Default Advice on tools needed (for changing brake pads)

Hi everyone,

I was planning on changing my brakes soon and saw the DIY stickied. I was hoping to get some quick advice as to the best place to purchase the necessary tools (C-clamp, anti squeal grease, brake cleaner, mechanic's latex gloves, etc.).

Walmart, Pepboys, Autozone, Sewell (if they even sell this stuff), online at some other website?

What do you recommend?!

Thanks!

What ever is convenient for you?!? None of that stuff is going to change the final outcome so just go wherever it's convenient. Walmart will be cheapest but Pepboys/Autozone will probably have those exact things all in a small area so it'll be more convenient IMO.

Pretty much any automotive parts store will carry what you need. If you happen to have locking pliers (vise grips), they will work well instead of the 2" C-clamp.
