wow just wow....I hope this taught you something. Don't let anyone but a dealer touch your car. Ya you will pay more but most likely your car won't get jacked up. Have fun with this fight!!!

i HATE mechanics that ACT like the know what they're doing but actually have no idea. i'd say file a small claims agains them if they do not pay for it!!

Its 451 am here in miami and with no sleep ill be headed to Lexus at 7am to get an estimate. Then im heading over to the ******** to get him to pay for it. This is all a big pain in the ***. Trust me, it took all I had not to knock the guy the f out. This isnt the old west though, so you have to use common sense....Ive definitely learned my lesson not to try and save a few bucks by getting my Lexus serviced in the ghetto. Unfortunately, the guy was highly recommended by a friend of my father inlaw....Ill keep you guys updated.

I Have also had shoddy work done by a suposed qualified tradesman in the passed so I feel your pain. That looks terrible and I hope you can get it sorted out.
IMO for the benefit of others in your area, you should name and shame the mechanic.

Great way to generalize, try to shame ALL private shops, and a hint of trying to justify your overspending...

...which is probably why the guy didn't take payment. Like I said. If there was no payment or work order, the guy never saw that Lexus ever before in his life. Therefore, no liability.
