I want to go a little bit larger on my factory wheels At least on the rear just wondering if anyone had tried to put a 275-40-18 on the rear and if so how was the clearance.

another member has fitted 275's (35 or 40 aspect ratio, i forgot) on oem 18x8.5's, and supposedly it fits.
having said that, it depends on what your ride height is, though i can't imagine it not being able to fit under stock fenders. your rear fender liners might not like it, however...

That would be me.
I just had them installed and although I must say they are really beefy, I think they are just a tad bit over my taste for tires on an 18'' wheel. I'm contemplating installing spacers to widen the stance a little but I'll have to do some more research on that. I may be able to snap a picture for reference for you. My advice would be go with maybe a 265/35, it should have enough width to make it noticeable yet not too over the top. Oh and btw, I'm dropped on coils with no issues at all with the tires.

according to the nitto neogen product page, for 40-series 18" tires sizes it goes from 215 to 245 incrementally and then a considerable jump to 275.
