i know the old one was plug n play. there was a guy on here who had a white is350 with a bunch of police lights and he said he put the old one in and everything worked fine except i think for the engine temp
Gorgeous gauge cluster. I'd be pissed if I bought a 2010 IS-F and this came out the next year.

That guy would be JavyLSU. He said it was plug and play, except the oil temp gauge didn't work (no lead).

For those that plan on selling their car later on, you also have to consider the anxiety future buyers might have when buying a car with a swapped gauge cluster (odometer cheats).

Hopefully we can get a confirmation that this will work
Someone in the IS-F subforum said the connectors on the 2010 and 2011 IS-F gauge clusters are identical, and since JavyLSU was able to plug a 2010 IS-F gauge cluster into his IS350, by the transitive property of equality the 2011 IS-F gauge cluster should work in an ISx50 (minus the oil temp gauge).

Maybe and maybe not. There's an indicator for passenger seat belt on the '11 in the combination meter that is new, and there is no indicator for low TPMS in the '11. A lot will depend on whether those two ECUs will be upset by the indicator not being there.
Yes, the connectors are the same and the pinouts correspond with the additions and deletions on the '11, so it might work, but it might not if the ECUs run a wire check for the indicator (which is a normal part of start up) and they can't find the indicator (wire not connected).
AFA getting the oil temp gauge to work - won't happen unless you machine a hole in the oil filter feed to accommodate the sensor and run the wire into the combination meter. Sounds like a LOT of work which could result in an oil leak down the road if there isn't a decent spot on the 2GR to mount the sensor.
