They did this to lower the price point on G's even more, and make it more competitive with the IS250, A4, 328i etc. Sadly you cannot get Navi, a sport package or manual tranny option on the G25. As for fuel economy, you only get +1 mpg and +2 mpg on city and highway compared to the G37. Overseas the M25 is also offered. To that end, Lexus even has a GS250 in Europe.

wow, i was surprised when i found out the 250 won. but then again, Nissan/Infiniti always exaggerate with their hp output. i remember when i had my 2005 G35 coupe and did a dyno, it only got 220 hp to the wheels, on paper it has 270 hp.

I do not feel my 250 is slow nor incredibly fast, it moves thou and thats all I ask. Good job beating the Infiniti it seems more like HP didnt mean as much and to the comparsions Hoovey posted above the curb weight is slightly higher its a bigger car in general then the IS. I enjoy my 250 and do not really care who is faster then me, I purchased the car for the luxury in which it excels futher than any car of its size under 40k (In my opinion).
