"The calipers are stock and I thought they looked fine the way they are (no need to paint them black since they are already black)."
Painting them black is a complete waste of time. If I were to paint them any color, I would powder coat them Ultrasonic Blue Mica...but I really feel like there is no need.

I've got a 3 month old 2011 with the 18 " wheels and i must admit the brake calipers on these look quite nice ...... as if they were painted silver
?? I'm thinking of simply getting the black Lexus logo's and applying them on the front calipers
I normally like the red caliper look but leaving it silver isn't really that bad

When you are doing the decals, apply 2 coats of clear coat on top of the decal. Will never come off, ever. I have had them on for awhile and they are embedded into the caliper, look as good if not better than day 1 folks

any high temp clear coat will do. 6 to 7 coats of paint, thin coats. thin coats. did i say thin coats? dont be a dumb *** and gob it on. then when the paint dries, put on the decal. then 2 coats of clear. then ure car looks a hell of a lot better
