Paint your brakes black, and use a smaller lexus sticker.

Painting them black is a complete waste of time. If I were to paint them any color, I would powder coat them Ultrasonic Blue Mica...but I really feel like there is no need.

I've got a 3 month old 2011 with the 18 " wheels and i must admit the brake calipers on these look quite nice ...... as if they were painted silver ?? I'm thinking of simply getting the black Lexus logo's and applying them on the front calipers I normally like the red caliper look but leaving it silver isn't really that bad

When you are doing the decals, apply 2 coats of clear coat on top of the decal. Will never come off, ever. I have had them on for awhile and they are embedded into the caliper, look as good if not better than day 1 folks

There's a car in the F section that went with blue calipers. Looks good.

USB looks legit. Thanks for the pic.

Mods, what do I do about thread hijackers and posts that are irrelevant to the topic?

It might be a waste of time, but I like it. Maybe one day I'll do it on my car. Always loved the USB too!

use the button, in the person's post who you want to report.

What kind of clear coat did you use? will it turn to yellow a bit due to heat of breaking?

I'm sure they make high heat clear coat that is meant for brake calipers or in the engine bay.

any high temp clear coat will do. 6 to 7 coats of paint, thin coats. thin coats. did i say thin coats? dont be a dumb *** and gob it on. then when the paint dries, put on the decal. then 2 coats of clear. then ure car looks a hell of a lot better

That is the F sport brake, not the stock caliper. I'd leave it with the Lexus sticker. As for red, black is for purists but the big 4 pot caliper don't look to bad in red. Its a pretty big brake for OEM.

I've seen the f-sport brakes before....and they are sick, but overkill on a car with only 306hp. I agree that they are necessary in the looks department or to fill out gaps when people upgrade their wheels.
