Vais that is awesome news. Thank you. Last question, with the android vaistech kit will us android owners be able to change track and volume, control phone calls, etc.. from the steering wheel like we can with the OEM nav unit?
Gidi, you can use the steering wheel controls. I don't work for Vais and of course check with them cause my buddy MAY have hacked his ML+ but yea he was able to control volume and move from track to track as well as folder to folder with long press on the next track buttons all from his steering wheel.

And thanks for answering Gidiguy's question about the steering wheel control!

Will the new droid solution be compatible with Mark Levinson system (2009 non HDD model)? If user switch to Iphone (Ox OS) will it require a complete change of the Vais unit or this new droid solution will work with apple products as well?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I've thought about this... I speculate the new Android vaistech product will only work on Droids with hdmi output... I realize iphones don't come with that but there are peripherals u can buy that gives iphones hdmi out capability if I'm not mistaken. And if u had such peripheral i don't see why the new vaistech Android product wouldn't work. But I'll wait to see what vais says of course, do don't take what i say as set in stone.

Android system will be a new product from us. We plan to have it out in June-July this year. It will work with HDMI out Android phone in the beginning. As far as vehicle compatibility, it will work with all 5th and 6th Gen nav systems. We will posting more pictures and information closer to release. Thanks everyone for your interest!

oooooo i thought we were going to have android or mac os options on the existing unit. but that makes sense. In that case I guess ill be okay i emit wifi from my android and have all my aps run on my ipod touch so its the same as having and iphone as far as media in the car goes.
