Duty on items from ebay..
Hello everyone.
I'm looking to purchase some F-sport shocks/springs for my 2IS. Now since I live in Canada, we get gouged on taxes/duties, $350+ in shipping and duties from Sewell. I'm looking at a cheaper option, I've found on ebay here..

It looks like Lexus of North Miami's ebay website. Now their website states only shipping prices, generally $50-60 so that's acceptable. Now I've never bought car parts on ebay before, will I be charged on duty for those items? It seems from their website that their prices are very much similar to that of Sewell, but if I can save on the duty that would be awesome. Anyone in Canada can chime in? Or anybody have any ideas?
Thanks.

As fas as getting taxed, that is up to Canada custom's discretion as there is not much you can do about it. However if you check the Canada tarif and import, then that can help in events you get duties and taxed on something that should not be.

I haven't done it with car parts yet, but I have for other purchases.
Have the items shipped to a kinek point (www.kinek.com) located at the border (Buffalo), drive over, pick it up and drive back. Just don't claim them at the border and more than likely you'll get by without paying taxes.
To be less suspicious of your travels, I would try to travel with another person and make at least a couple other shopping purchases in the States so you can show the receipts to the border officer.
