Default ElectroLuminescent Gauges not spinning on startup.

So I've noticed that my gauges have stopped spinning like they used to from base to tip upon ignition. They operate fine once the car is on though. Should this be cause for concern? My car i still under warranty.

Hmm.. it suppose to do that in the on position and startup (everytime the gauges turn on). If it stops doing the needle sweep, take it in while its still under warranty. It's weird you said it works fine after the car starts. There isn't a way to turn it off as far as i know. I'm so used to it I don't even notice it anymore. My friends love it though. They think its cool whenever they see it.

THanks for the input. Yeah I like the effect it produces too. It looks pretty cool. Sometimes the needles sweep and other times they don't. There's also an uncharacteristic flash right as I press the start button to turn the car on. I'll make sure to let them know at the dealership as my car is due for 35K service.

I don't know if it was just a coincidence, but my car started doing this too, and it just happened to be around when I needed to replace my battery. After I replaced my battery, all was good.

Sounds like you should get the battery checked or something in case there's a bigger problem, definitely don't want them to stop working all together after warranty is up!

On the bright side you don't have them making the grinding noise some have noticed on startup

Well it happened to be the battery. I asked them to test the battery and it failed so they replaced it for free. Thanks you all for the input.

Now that's an awesome interface! What a crazy way to know that your battery has problems by the needles not sweeping. I'll have to remember that for next time...

Yes I know. Here's a link to the video where that shows what was happening at startup.
