Philips Ultinon and Diamond Vision Combo!
Hi all,
I finally installed Philips Ultinon 6000K Parking lights and Philips Diamond Vision 5000K Headlights and Fog Halogens. What do you think?
Philips Ultinon 6000K Parking Lights on only. Note, since it's taken with flash, the HID appears on, but is only the reflection of the flash.
Philips Ultinon 6000K HID and Parking Lights + Philips Diamond Vision 5000K Fog Halogens.
Philips Ultinon 6000K HID and Parking Lights + Philips Diamond Vision 5000K Headlights (High beam).

The 6000K LED and the HID provide same color output so you there is no difference. As for the Diamond Visision, there is a slight difference which is a bit difficult to tell unless paying careful attention to the color.
It has more of the OEM looks now but white instead of yellow.

From my previous thread (I requote), where I had Garax 8000K and PIAA 6600K parking lights, it was a mismatch!.

With the 5000K lights alone, they are very close to white. Against the 6000K lights, it does look a bit on the yellow side. At close range, you can tell but futher distance it begins to get difficult to distinguish the colors.
When I get the Lexus Japan's HID fog kit for the car beside it (the new GFM that's beside the blue), it will have Philips Ultinon D2S 6000K lights - it will be a perfect match.
Yeah I was playing with the angle but it was a bit hard getting the right pictures. Had to use flash because the camera would keep complaining about the light. I think probably I whould of done this outside instead of the garage so I can turn the flash off or something which might help.

Sorry, I did not see this post. Yes they are bright - brighter than the PIAA Super Tera Evolution 6600K Parking LED's which I had on there.
The parking lights cost about $40 dollars. It's rated at 50 lumens.

As far as color matching, if brand, series and color temp is the same, you can get a perfect color match. Since your'e asking about the Ultinon 4200 Parking LED to the OEM (Philips) HID, it's close, depdning on which kelvin the HID is.
For me, I would just get Ultinon 6000K HID and LED like what I have in the picture.

I got them from Nigel-JDMParts (forum vendor). It's available in three flavors: 4200K, 6000K and 6700K.
http://www.nigel-jdmparts.com/ - Under "Philips Automotive Lighting".
You will need Philips Ultinon 6000K HIDs to guarantee the perfect color match.

The light shines straight and spreads within the housing.
No Flash

Note: Don't worry about the blue reflecting in the housing. This is mainly because of the Philips Diamond Vision 5000K's glass is blue. You can sort of see the reflection of the parking lights housing too looking carefully at the top right.
Also if you look at the last picture in this link below. This may give you a better idea of the light from the side as this one shows the light in the open.
