What's up with the halogens melting? If I throw them in my stock lights will I have problems or is that just yellow film people?

I cannot find any of the Putco Jet Yellow's on kbcars...

I'm guessing these are correct:

If you still want to run halogens, use a high-temp wire harness. I had halogens at first, and didn't use any harness, and my OEM harness melted

I bought a pair of high-temp wire harnesses, and they are for sale if anyone is interested. (Bought them before I decided to go the HID route)

My ddmtuning 3k kit came in yesterday. Slim ballast tho. Hopefully I'll have a chance to install this week.

So what is the difference? sorry for my lack of knowledge.

Are the kits at the top and bottom of the page the two you speak of?

The DDM kit def has a brighter yellow color than other kits that Ive used. I have not used xenondepots (even though the actual bulb has a yellow coating over it so it should be very good) because I grew out of my yellow fogs phase.

I used the DDM tuning kit with the fat ballasts + Yellow overlays

So I guess DDM doesn't sell the fat ballast anymore just the slim so I'll go with the $30 slims.

Do you need to remove the bumper to get to the install? My cars being shipped right now so I can't take a look myself...

I would not buy a kit from DDM personally. I only got this one because of how yellow Giantfans fogs were. Ive had no issues but I know several others have.

And you dont have to remove the bumper, you can go through the wheel well, but removing the bumper is the better way IMO. There are DIYS for both ways, do a search and you will find them

Really? Even with lifetime warranty?

Problems with the kit or the kit causing problems with the car?

Everything I've read recommends them.

Yes they have a lifetime warranty, but its hard to get a hold of someone. Plus Ive heard that all of their bulbs arent labeled properly on their shelf. They have 5K/6K/8K all on the same shelf and get mixed up. Plus shipping from China takes FOREVER. Took me almost 3 weeks to get my kit.

I know the price is tempting but I personally wouldnt do it.

OK yeah if I got them with the wrong bulbs and couldn't get a hold of someone I'd be enraged.

Suggested alternatives? I really don't want to spend $160 at kbcars

I know many people who have gotten DDM kits, including myself, with no problem. Personally I wouldn't be worried....

Also... I'm not running overlays - that's how yellow the bulbs are!
