Anyone know if it's possible?
Or is this like the AFS headlights and it's not possible?

I subscribed. I know of several Lexus techs that are on this site. Hopefully one of them will chime in.

No, he's talking about the steering column adjustment for tilt/telescoping steering wheel.

I'm assuming you'll need to install a hydraulic power rack n pinion, a manual steering column, find a way to install a power steering pump, and lines, etc. Basically an entire overhaul.

You are confused.

Every 2IS has electric power steering, however one of the options is to upgrade from the manually-controlled (via the lever) tilt/telescopic steering column to an electrically-adjusted (via a switch) tilt/telescopic steering column.

I don't know what's all involved in doing it, I would assume the column itself, along with the switch and column covers. There will also likely be some wiring changes that will be required.

I was on the Lexus website and it said a lot of the upgrade options that people choose like. Navigation, HID's and other things are installed when the vehicle arrives in the USA.

This would leave me to believe that all cars come pre-wired for these options its just a mater of running the correct harness to the fuse box.

Usually when you have memory seats, you also have the the telescopic steering wheel. That leads me to believe that there is some sort of module keeping these memories so it's not as simple as a steering wheel replacement. I would hope it's a lot easier because I myself do not have it — manual adjustment. I always wished I got the automatic so if there is a way I too would be interested.

I don't know where you read that, but it is incorrect. Navigation, HID's, Memory Seats/Mirrors, and others are done at the factory.

Port installed things are things like spoilers, GFX body kits, etc. The wiring is quite different in the car between Nav and non-Nav, as is the HID wiring, not to mention the HID's also have a lot of extra stuff like the AFS and leveling sensors. The car is not prewired for those things.

The power steering column is actually the same part with or without memory seats, which is pretty cool. I'd need to check the wiring more to see how hard it would be to install into a non-equipped car. Perhaps I will take a gander at a few wiring diagrams later this evening.
