Not using same gasoline brand regularly... Problems?
Is it a big issue with not using the same brand? I do consistently use premium, however, because I travel a lot, its harder for me to fill at using the same brand of gasoline. Another (minor) reason is because of price. I only choose btwn Mobil, Exxon, Shell, BP, or Gulf. I have yet to use any other brands.
Just wondering!
Thanks!

What if you switch constantly between premium and the middle grade?
No major issues in the short run. The car should compensate the timing to match the lower octane and you also lose some HP and gas mileage. Worse case, you'll get engine pings and knocks...
Have you checked your MPG when you do that? You should be getting worse gas mileage. So the amount of MPG you lost should be equivalent to the price difference of buying Premium. I suggest just sticking with Premium. You had the cash to buy a luxury car, you should at least treat it like one.
I would not recommend lower grade on IS250... you will build-up carbon faster in your engine.
