Just curious, has anyone figured out a way to modify the clock on the is250? To me it looks like the same clock found in the 1990 camry...
The honda guys used to put a piece of film in front of the numbers to give it that "JDM" amber look. I thought it might be possible in this case as well.

Early model 2IS's have the white colored numbers and late model 2IS's have the green ones. Maybe swapping in a older models version will work. There was a thread don here about that so do a search. Hope it helps.

I think the green clock looks fugly...especially since it was originally the led looking white and then lexus got cheap cuz of the economy and replaced them with the nasty green ones.
Guess its all realitive and Lexus only seems to be getting cheaper...IE removing AFS, key in trunk sensor, etc.
Pretty soon the 250 will come with hub caps instead of actual rims! =X

The only difference between the early clock (06-08) and later clock (09-11) is the lens over top of it. Lexus changed it from red to black (hence changing the colour of the clock) for 2009. I ordered the red clock lens from the 2007-2008 model for my 2011 and it fits right on. While the white clock doesn't match exactly, it looks quite a bit better than the off-green colour that it had to start with.
So much nicer, and the new clock lens only costs about $5.00-10.00, not bad at all.
My 2011:

For reference if anyone wants to go either way:
81950-53110 - 07-08 White Display (with Nav, has 2 holes in clock lens)
81950-53120 - 07-08 White Display (without Nav, no holes in clock lens)
81950-53230 - 09-11 Green Display (with Nav, has 2 holes in clock lens)
81950-53150 - 09-11 Green Display (without Nav, no holes in clock lens)
Hope that helps in case anyone was considering it.

They're all the same for all years, you probably have a larger range with F than I do with C. I can go from 18.0 to 32.0 in increments of 0.5. Not sure what the USA ones go from, but probably like 68 to 80 or something? I think you've got more numbers in there, so don't need the halves. In fact I don't really need the halves either, but they're there anyways, haha.

Lo, 65-85, Hi. Direct conversion to C is 18.33 to 29.44.
Canada has more range then.
Direct conversion from Canadian.
64.4 to 89.6.

Even though we apparently have a larger actual range of temperature from low to high, 18 to 32 is only 14 degrees, while 65 to 85 is 20 degrees.
If you look at the same range of temperatures, 18 to 29.5 for the 65-85 the USA cars have, it's 11.5 degrees to 20 degrees, which is why we get the 0.5 degree intervals, to allow for the same amount of control/adjustment that the USA cars get within that range.
Basically every degree you raise in Celsius is similar to raising it 2 degrees in Fahrenheit within this range.
