I wrote liquid nails and inquiry about which exact product in their line to use and they suggested NOT using it on a vehicle because of the weather changes (they claim it can be removed by heating up to 140 degrees and when it's 112 outside that's getting close considering the surface of the vehicle would be hotter) and also that vibrations could weaken it. I really dont want to disassemble the fiberglass enclosure on the underside of trunk lid to put in bolts and if one day it does come off..I am growing ever hesitant of putting holes in my trunk lid (rust issues possibly). Also I'm not CRAZY about possibly having to sand down the trunk lid either. I might end up just tossing it on there with the double sided tape after all. I dunno. I guess i'll have to weight the risk of theft with the risk of drilling holes or sanding off paint.

Why not just get spoiler adhesive? $16 for a tube. I'm planning on using this stuff when I get my spoiler.

Hmm never thought liquid nails could fail. Haha. But given that you said your car never stays out more than an hour or so in the sun, I don't think the heat would affect it that much. As for vibrations, the spoiler is so light that vibrations shouldn't do much damage to the glue. If it was a heavier object then I'd understand. Gahh if only I could find that adhesive I used to attach mine..
