The 2013 GS350 got unveiled today and with it the new redesigned interior. It seems like this is the next generation interior redesign for Lexus. There's tons of new features, including a 12.3" screen.

What are some of the interior features/updates from the new GS that you'd like in the 3IS?
For me, I love the new interior but it looks like the 12.3" screen is indented too much, so it might be hard to get to. I wish they would of had the screen more prominent and larger, going down to where the vents are and move the vents to the side of the screen.
Other than that, the interior looks pretty sleek. I love the analog clock and leather stitching on the dash. And I love the Sport S+ mode that adds even more sportiness to the sport driving mode ("firms up the suspension, tightens up steering, and remaps the stability control system to allow more aggressive driving." from http://wot.motortrend.com/2013-lexus...#ixzz1VSJxAJrq).

The 3IS interior will be different but it will have a lot of similarities probably because this is the new generation of interior design. Early 2000s Lexus had the navi system that fit almost double din with buttons included. The next generation interior (06 IS and 07 ES, etc) had the navi with bigger screen and buttons on side. Navi controls climate too. This next generation of interior looks like it will feature a 12.3" touchscreen navi system. Gone are the buttons on the side. Major upgrade. It will likely make it's way through all the models in the next few years. The 3IS will have a 12.3" touchscreen. I'll bet on it.

Just read the transcript from today's 2013 GS reveal. Wow, it really looks like Lexus is picking up their game. Check it out: http://pressroom.toyota.com/releases...re+remarks.htm

I never liked the clocks in the Infiniti's, but I guess enough people did.
This interior doesn't blow me away, it doesn't look bad, but it doesn't scratch me where I itch either. I've never been a huge fan of the GS, this 4GS looks pretty decent, but like the interior doesn't really do it for me. Hopefully the next IS doesn't share that awful grille/lower bumper design and has a sportier style for the interior.
Steering wheel is nice.

OP you said the screen would be hard to get to, do you think you have touch screen? LOL
If you look just below the gear selector, you'll see a dial. You will use that to make selections on your on-screen navigation / radio preference / etc.
That's just my assumption based on the photo anyway.
