Looked at G35s and TL Type-S's but none struck my fancy. I took my moms RX to the dealer for service one day, and while waiting I was walking the lot. I saw a black on black IS350 and immediately new this was the car!!!
So now you are such a loyal Lexus fan you spend most of your time around them, right?

I became interested in the Lexus, particularly back in the day with the IS300. I didn't like the 2IS design until I saw the 2011 IS350 F-Sport package though. Another big reason was everyone I knew had a BMW, IS300, or IS250 so I wanted to be different from the crowd. Plus, I heard good reviews on Lexus value and reliability.

Well I first had 02 ES300 and fell in love with how smooth it was and the luxurious interior. Now I can afford my own car and am purchasing an IS. I love how the car looks and I think it's very appropriate for my age. My wife also loves it which gives a big plus to it.

Well, 3 or 4 years ago I was looking into buying an AWD sedan and my car of choice was a brand new Subaru Legacy. Then, I noticed the price of a used IS250 AWD was about the same. So, I test drove a few IS250s and fell in love with the interior. In my opinion, IS has one of the nicest interior. I love the dash design. Anyways, after shopping around I found one and after negotiations with the dealer, I got a super deal and got my beloved IS250 AWD.

I actually had purchased a brand new IS 250 AWD when they first came out in the Fall of 2005 and had one of the first ones in the NJ/NY Tri State area

I got bored and ended up getting the C 300 4matics when they first came out in the Fall of 2007 ............. that was used mostly by my wife and was about to go out of warranty thus while looking for another 4 door sports sedan we knew we'd be going right back to the 2IS

After years in the C which was a decent ride we knew the reliability and quality of the 2IS would be a nice way to return to Lexus. The MB with it's numerous plastic ***** and pieces just cannot be compared to the soft leather and wonderful materials of the 2IS And ohhh even after all these years i still think the IS is one of the sexiest rides out there ......... especially when " modded "

I did a lot of research before buying my car. I looked at used G35's, MB, 325's and the IS250. The overall styling of the Lexus, particularly the interior, couldn't be matched. Once I narrowed it down to a 250, I started hunting down the options I was looking for - Nav, Sport or Lux package, and SGM or black exterior. I ended up test driving a 250 and a 350. They were priced nearly identical, both had ML, with the 350 having only a couple thousand more miles (30k vs 28k). So for $500 more I couldn't pass up the 350.

Funny thing is my brother just went through the same decision process. Was set on a 250 for the gas mileage as he drives about 100+ miles per day. I tried to convince him he'd be happier with a 350 but he was set on a 250. Calls me up yesterday and says he just picked up a 350 - too good of a deal to pass up. Black on cashmere, Lux package, NAV +ML.

When I had my 99 Camry Solara for about 10 years with over 230K+ Miles on the ODO, I was beginning to look for another car since it was beginning to show signs of constant repairs since more problems were beginning to show up.

I initially looked at BMW since my dad said, look at any car - when I mentioned it, my dad was very mad that I mentioned BMW (it was like, you said any car!!). Then he said he briefly mentioned about Lexus IS. I came to think about it since I was looking a comparable car and held the Toyota feel and decided to look into Lexus as a step up.

Initially when I looked at some photos of the IS, I thought it didn't look at that great, said it was too skinny. Then later on I went to the dealership and saw the car in person and I had a different impression and tested a 250 AWD. After enjoying the ride, I had my hands on getting it and eventualy I did.

It is almost year since I gotten the AWD and had sold to the AWD to my dad and now for the 250 RWD.

I had a 02 es300 as well, and loved the smoothness and reliability. However, it wasn't very fun to drive, so the IS250 seemed like a good choice. Super reliable, good looks and decent performance.
