Default My New 2011 Obsidian IS350 F-Sport...I did a swap!

Hey guys,

Back in Febuary I traded in my 09' 250 for an 11' 350 with the Luxury Package. The dealer called my after a few days and asked if I was interested in trading them the OEM parts off my new car for the F-Sport stuff that was on the 250. I said yes to the sway bars and the intake. Since then, I have had non-stop nightmares with issues with the sway bars. First, when they were installed by the dealer, they used the end links off the of 250 to quickly drop the bars on the 350 and over torqued the bolts to the point of the rear bar's bushing support snapping on the first mildly quick turn I took. I have had that 350 in and out of the dealer 8 times since then with no resolution from the knocking noise in the front and no way to get a new set of bars because my old ones are on the old 250 which has been sold already. To make a long story short, as doing a lot of thinking I decided I should move in to a car that I don't have to modify to love. Ideally I'd love to go to an IS-F but can't swing it just yet...so I swapped for a Obsidian F-Sport 350. They had mercy on me and gave me a decent deal. My payment jumped a little but I didn't have to put any cash down and I'm happy with the choice. I am trying to work with the dealer on getting at least the F-Sport springs back because I returned the car with the OEM ones in the trunk and I'm sure they'll put it back to stock. I should have gotten this car back in February but there were none in my area and I just didn't even think about driving one back then. I feel like a moron but I'd rather shell out a little more per month and feel happy about the car and not have it in and out of the dealer every week. Needless to say, I won't be messing with this car. If I ever EVER did anything in the future it'd be the rear sway bar...but the last people to install it would be my dealer! I'm not sure if the car needs it...maybe someone with an F-Sport that has done JUST the rear can shed some light on this idea? Also, what about the steering damper? Is that on the F-Sport already? And does it make much of a difference? Some options I miss are the memory seats, tilting mirrors and the steering wheel that moves when you get in and out of the car. BUT! - this isn't a luxury car and I know that. That difference is huge just in the seats alone and I love the black headliner. Here are couple of pictures below. I'll include some better ones when I get a chance this weekend to take better pictures. Thanks guys!

Sounds like you got a car you like! Nice to see a black 2011 IS350 F-Sport! Hope to see more pictures too.

I wish my dealerships had mercy on me and gave me a good deal.

Next time if you ever install the rear swaybar again, use thread lock (blue or red). You can buy it from autozone or kragen

Nice car! No, your car does not come with the steering wheel damper. Only the IS350 awd and IS-F's come with them stock. With the damper.. my car's steering wheel doesn't feel as loose as before. For $25.. you can't lose.

I have an identical twin in my garage, nice choice! My only mods so far are the F-Sport intake and 35% charcoal tint. I will eventually get around to the sway bar, but that's about all I plan to do. Might look into the steering damper as well.

Nice ride! Too bad you are in Cali because that car looks sick murdered out with dark tint.
