Thanks for all the advice. It looks like I'll have to sell the car if i do make the move. I have look at garages in Manhattan and the prices are just ridiculous. The lost is in the sale will offset the cost of keeping a car in Manhattan. I have consider living elsewhere, but it doesn't make sense to keep a car I won't drive. I'll keep you guys posted with what happens in the next couple of weeks. Once again thanks.

Explain the situation to your new employer and ask for a parking allowance since you just bought the car. It's worth a shot maybe they will increase the offer to allow for garage parking......
