Ok... tiny rocks causing chips, this I could understand. I usually do my best to stay clear of semi's and lifted trucks/suv's, they fling up a lot of road pebble. I guess I'm just a fiend and always wash my car after long trips, so bug splatter makes no sense to me while preventing rock chips kind of does. I've been thinking about getting that clear vinyl-type bra that some shops can put on. I have a place here in the bay area that custom cut it to your preference. The shop owner has it on his black Mercedes S550, not that noticeable and he said less noticeable on lighter colors. I still feel weird about having plastic/vinyl on my front end. I guess if I did another long trip somewhere I'd just do the blue tape... haha. Peoples faces would be priceless! But I plan to avoid such long trips in my IS. If i'm going to SoCal I'm flying!

those are awesome pics man...im gonna be taping up my car this weekend i have a very long 15 hour drive to Texas. Those bugs and rocks are not forgiving my front end looks like a battlefield.

ROFL these pics made my day, and I totally confused the IS-F covered in this tape for a USB IS-F, until I put more attention to detail...

I think he just really liked the USB color and wanted to try it out for a while.

Anyway... I think it would not be so noticeable in USB cars, I guess it's cause my car is so new I'd refuse to take it for a long trip just yet...

That F is definitely USB...check out the passenger mirror and area around the license plate.

Oh man wth .... Is all I can say these pics. Besides my Lexus I drive a exotic car and I wouldn't go through this much trouble lol...it's a car drive it and enjoy it. And you know you can get travel and transport vinyl off eBay and at most automotive shops that will make this 100x faster and easier. It's the same white vinyl you see on the cars when being transported to the lot or on a semi.

Just so you guys know it's proven that you get more rock chips within your normal driving patterns then you do on a road trips. Have a great holiday weekend ;-)

Insanity.........Why buy a nice car if you cannot drive it on a trip without doing that?
Just buy the Key Fob and wear it around your neck.......
