Finally received my grille and decided to embark on a new project.
The following is somewhat of a DIY that I would like to share with the masses:![](http://i834.photobucket.com/albums/zz264/svong/DSC01222.jpg)

This custom grille may very well be the first of it's kind for the IS. Here is the end result:

The following is somewhat of a DIY that I would like to share with the masses:
- Cut, sanded and shaped a piece of ABS plastic to use as an emblem holder for the oversize emblem
- Painted both emblem holder and grille with a color I call Smokey Granite Sparkle (Krylon)
- Wrap custom emblem holder using 3M CF wrap
- Attach emblem. *This particular emblem was made for a GS
- Attach custom emblem holder / emblem to existing emblem holder/grille using your choice of adhesive. I used epoxy and attached 2 zip ties to the back of the emblem holder

Appreciate all the luv!
Regretfully missed the last meet. Won't happen again!
Home Depot
It's textured which is the look I was aiming for. It is also chip resistant and would show less scuffs etc. Definitely very subtle looking in person.
3M. I've done the speed test and it's secure. However, I'm very paranoid, so contemplating if whether or not I should use silicone. Any suggestions?
Thanks Linda! you definitely got the ball rolling on this one..
