I have replaced the battery of one of my keys four times in four years already. The other key only twice, I wonder why.

Just ordered a set of 5 Energizer CR1632 batteries off Amazon for $5.75 shipped. My car started complaining low batt and this is after 2.5 years since I got the car. Wonder why some peoples' key fob batteries only last a year?

Do you keep one near your cell phone or anything? other electronics nearby can drain it faster.

I just change the fob battery I use once a year or so.
It's only around $2 to do so.
The second key fob maybe two years or so.

Mine has 2 years and 9 months of use on it and I just got the first low battery warning on the console this morning. Time to go to the drug store!

For anyone in the USA, the easiest place to get CR1632 batteries is Amazon, $5.65 shipped for 5.

Our dealership is way undercharging then.
We officially charge $6.61 plus tax. But, 99% of the time we give them away.
