I have 112,000 miles on my clutch. It's just starting to show the signs of needing to be replaced (happened before to us right after we bought the car used): Shudders when starting off in 1st when hot. Also I can note a very slight jump in RPM's when I goose it in gear. Very slight.

I give mine about 10k miles before complete failure judging by last time.

As far as releasing high: they all do. The clutch is self-adjusting.

I drove my accord up to 160k w/o changing the clutch and it was still good and I sold the car. Like all have suggested, it depends on your usage. I use my clutch like a switch.

Personally, if you drive in the city a lot, I would just replace it now.
If it is not slipping, why would you even dream about replacing it? Spend that money on mods or keep it aside for the day ot actually shows any problems.

^^^ agree.
There is absolutely no need to replace the clutch if there are no issues.
