My seats still look brand new too after about 60k miles of driving. I find they are pretty comfortable. I took my IS on a road trip from Socal to Norcal and back and was comfortable all the way..... So where the 2 passengers in my car.

Very happy with them. They are a great all-around compromise for comfort, sport, support, and durability. I think Lexus made all the right choices with them. As with any seat, it's wise to learn the proper way to get in and out of them. Lifting yourself over instead of pivoting and scraping the top, goes a long way in preserving the surfaces. Keeping them clean is also vital.

I think Lexus uses some pretty good quality leather on their seats. I've got a 2006 with 105,000 miles on it and it's been in the southern heat all of it's life and my seats look like new. Comfort is good and I really like the ventilation on mine. Helps cool your back off in the heat.

Keep in mind they're not cooled, they're merely ventilated - they cycle air through but it doesn't come from the A/C. I highly recommend the perforated leather trim of the Luxury Package (not sure if it can come separately) - I've found it to be more comfortable than the regular leather seats.

There are a couple of threads out there that are like the above. You need to set the air flow to top/floor and then divert the air up to the seat fan. You can use anything like the pic in the thread. I tried it with cardboard and vinyl coving but the car wash people kept pulling it out when they vacuumed the car. Ended up using some of the hard plaster glad sandwich containers, cutting them in half and and tied them to the A/C duct. It will blow the air straight up to the fan.

Seat Comfort -- I weight 175 and I've been on 2 extended trips. I notice that I can feel something under/in the seat that has to be the fan. It's barely noticeable, but it's there. Since it's my wife's car ('11 IS350C), it doesn't really bother me.

I got a 2011 IS earlier this year. I also got the F-Sport package which has the ISF bucket seats. They look nice and they're comfortable for me with long drives on the freeway. Too bad they aren't ventilated seats though. The leather at the left side of the driver's seat has some wrinkles but not too bad.

The only problem I have is that on my driver's seat the seat stitching is starting to come apart. The stitching problem seems to only be in some people's 2011 IS F-Sport package cars.

i love mine--50K miles and 5 years old. The vents could be more powerful, but work best if hte AC is set to low. I have driven the car cross country and no complaints--the cooled seats were great!!

My one complaint would be that they're just not contoured/supportive enough. I wish they were more bucketed - my 2003 E55 had bucket seats that allowed you to change absolutely every aspect, like how inflated the side bolsters were, etc. I know this is futile because we're talking about the regular 2IS and not the F, and 99% of buyers wouldn't want/know what to do with/fit into bucket seats, but that's my wish.

This is my one complaint, than again I came from my Integra that has recaros.

I'm not a thin man but I'm also not fat 5'11 190lbs and the seats can't hold me in place when I take a turn fast. I end up sliding and suporting my self on the door panel or center console.

Pretty much the same size as you (But 6' even) and have the same exact issue. Glad to know i'm not the only one that has the door panel supporting them in sharp turns
