oh wow i never knew we had a trunk lock there! I got a habit of pressing the button on our handle once to lock the car everytime i leave, hopefully the water damage isnt too bad and doesn't mess up all your harnesses. the speakers imo is the last of your worries. good luck!

If you push it, it prevents the trunk from opening with anything but the key built into your remote. Useful when your parking in an unfamiliar/sketchy area. I love this little feature, when my old car got broken into they used the trunk release inside the car to gain access to my trunk. Of course it only works well if you lock the glove compartment after you enable the lock too
so.. im confused... how would someone get into your car if its locked? why would they need to get into your trunk?
