I had the Goodyear GS-D3 before I started using Hankook V12. IMO, they are definitely better than the Hankook V12. (On my 3rd set ATM).
The road noise on the Hankook is just terrible after 5000 miles.

The Hankook V12 is among the best handling tires available for the 2IS.
See here:

So either they screwed something up or you're suffering from the fact you have mis-matched tires on your car.

More likely it is the diffrent performance charecteristics of the different pairs of tires. They will turn at different rates, different adhesion and different braking rates. Front may come around faster than the rear, or visa versa or the rear may stop faster than the front.

OP, do you get this issue regardless of the type of freeway surface? I ask because I have the exact same issue, but I'm running Yokohama Avid ENVigors. On freeways that have those rain grooves on the surface, the car has a sudden sharp side to side wobble. However, on flat ungrooved surfaces, the car tracks straight as a nail. The issue might be a combination of your mismatched tires and the way they collectively grip road imperfections.

I find it hard to believe that mismatched front and rear tires is going to have much if any effect on the handling of the car. I'm guessing it's most likely a faulty set of tires. I would take it back to where you had them installed and explain the situation. DON'T wait 500 miles to report it. I've seen a couple reviews of the Hankooks where people complained about a bad batch of tires. After replacing with another set of Hankooks, problem was solved.

I am hoping these are not defective tires - I am past the 30 day return policy for tirerack
So here's my plan: finish off the set by putting hankooks up front, get an alignment, and hope it fixes my issue! I miss crisp handling......
Ill post the results later

im not sure about the mis matched tires, when i ordered my tire from tire rack..i specifically ordered ventus all around, then the agent notify that my front ones 225/35/19 are out of stock, and its on back order. I ask for my option and told me that they have the gen G max which cost a little more, but he said that he'll price match for me for the same price of ventus v12 and i agree...i have no problem with the set of tires i have right now, i've taken it to vegas too last weekend..no wobling or vibration even on high speed..the problem is that im rubbing on my fender liner
which is irrelevant in OP.. check the installation again if i were u..gluck.

So I recently got a screw in one of my rear tires, but it was on the shoulder near the sidewall and not repairable. I have only had the car/tires for 5600 miles, OEM bridgestone Turanza ER33, which aren't that great, in my opinion.
So I didn't want to only replace one OEM tire (wayyy overpriced), so i was shopping for two reasonably priced tires to change out both rears. I was FIRMLY set on the V12s after reading the car and driver article, few threads, and even talking to a few shops.
However, when I did call a few shops, some people recommended the Fierce Instinct VR (Made by Dunlop) and Goodyear Eagle GTs, which are relatively the same price.
Despite being an all season tire with a "lower" rating, I went with the Eagle GTs because when i saw them in person, they did seem stiffer and the quality of workmanship seemed a little better. I liked the tread pattern on the V12s better, but the GT's asymmetrical design wasn't too bad either.
I would like to see more threads regarding the quality of hankooks.
