I started driving it harder and harder starting from about 1000km until around 2500km, at which point I drove normally.

I've been driving it like I stole it since mile 39,000 when I bought it CPO. I couldnt be happier with a car, unless it was the is-F

If the criteria is bouncing off the rev limiter then never

I do take corners faster than the average driver though. Love my sway bars!

because I wanted to, and it still feels new to me. Plus pushing the gas 80% down is fast enough. Maybe when the car gets old to me, I'd probably smash it more often. But right now.. it still feels like day one when I got it with 10 miles.
I test drove a 250 and comparing that to the 350.. just didnt feel right for me.

If I bought my car with 30k miles on it then id probably smash it when I first got it as well.

Yeah, I never hit the rev limiter, usually shift around 3,500-4,000rpm (I have the "shift light" set to 4,000rpm).

Even with an IS350 accelerator at 80 or 90% is a heck of a lot better than a IS250 at 100%. There are plenty of differences between the two leading up to the rev limiter.

Please correct me if i am wrong but the dealership told me the lexus's engine already comes broken in.. I hit both my '07 and '11 right out of the dealership.. Burnout and everything =D
