i did it once during my break in period, bounced off the limiter between 3rd to fifth gear, and now i do it once in awhile but i have a is250 so it goes nowhere, kinda pointless to wot lol =P, cant wait to switch to an F!!!
Would someone please be so kind as to explain to me what it means to, "bounce off the rev limiter?"
You literally hit a point where the car "kicks back" and prevents you from revving any higher. It basically prevents you from revving to high and causing engine damage. Happens usually when you have the car in sport-shift mode and rev too high in any gear instead of shifting up.
never my odo is at 6770 haha Dont think I ever even smashed the gas all the way to the floor before! maybe 80-90% down tho and the first time was at like 3000 on the odo.

Like what killa said...
It's a limiter set by the engineers to prevent you from damaging your engine. Once you reach the limiter, the ecu will cut off fuel to the engine to momentarily drop the rev down... that's why you get the bounce effect.
On Topic, I didn't open it up until the first oil change. I'm a bit paranoid

So why did you get a 350 then? Should have picked up a 250 IMO.
I picked up my car used with 30k miles on it so, yeah, day 1 and the first open road.
