Search DRL and look for the ones that go by the name myIS or something like that. I'm sure someone will chime in soon and give you first hand knowledge.

Those are called Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) - on the earlier 2IS, they're halogen bulbs on the inside of the low beams, and on the later ones they're LED strips below the low beams.

There seem to be two options for this. There are tons of aftermarket LED strips you can install either on or inside the headlight, and they're of different qualities and prices. For what I've seen, they look roundly terrible. They're typically plastic strips with LEDs inside and they just look crap.

The other, more expensive option is to buy the 2011 headlights and retrofit them to your earlier 2IS. This will be much more expensive but will give you exactly what you're looking for, instead of something that looks like you got it at the bargain bin at Autozone.

On older models and 2011's without HID, the high-beam halogen bulb is used as the DRL at partial power, on 2011's with HID, they use the LED's.

They'll fit, but you also need to rewire them slightly, however I believe Sewell actually sells a plug 'n play kit to install them on older 2IS models.

But I heard you would lose AFS function on the HIDs if you have it equipped. Someone back me up?

Unless one does not have AFS then it's no sacrifice.

You'd only lose AFS if your car had HID's before.

Basically you choose, AFS or LED's.

^ You lose bi-xenon functionality with the 2011 LED DRLs too right?

I don't know how much confirmation we have on that yet. According to the NCF (New Car Features) book, yes you lose Bi-Xenon. The NCF is usually quite accurate about things of this nature, so I would tend to believe it. Various other information still lists them as Bi-Xenon, but most of that is likely a missed carry-over description from 2010.

I don't have factory HID's on my 2011, or I'd check myself.

Its the feature which when active turns your xenon lights in the direction your steering wheel turns in to give better visibility in turns. AKA adaptive lights.
