Hey guys,
so this past weekend i installed HID bulbs and i wanted to replace my parking lights with led at the same time while i was at it. driver side parking light easylt came up with a little twist but driver side wont turn at all. i spend half an hour trying to get it out but no luck. anyone has any suggestion on how to take this thing off or just disable the whole parking lights. i don't understand, if they are parking lights why are they always on??????? shouldn't they just turn on when you put the car on P? any suggestions is appreciated.

This is correct. The functioning of what Lexus calls the "parking lights" has nothing to do with what gear the car is in. No matter whether you're in park, drive, reverse, etc, the parking lights will be on if the low beams are on. If the low beams are NOT on, the parking lights will not be on.
The parking lights are very small halogen bulbs that poke into the reflector housing of the daytime running lights/high beams. I'm assuming you're truly talking about the parking lights and not the DRLs/high beams, which is one larger bulb (that serves both functions) and is next to the low beams.
I made this a while ago for a similar thread:
1) Low beam (halogen or HID)
2) Parking light (smaller halogen bulb)
3) DRL/high beam (halogen)
4) Fog light (halogen)

Actually, if you really want to get picky, #1 should say "Low beam (halogen) or Low/High beam (bi-xenon HID). When the high beams are engaged or disengaged, a shutter moves in the projector housing to change the beam pattern. With HIDs, the halogen high beam is supplemental.
