Default 2011 IS350 oil filter

I have 2011 IS350 with 6500 miles. Which oil filter is going to make the car run the smoothest?

It does but it must be changed.
I think you would be better off having the dealer or other service facility do your oil changes.

they are, though on 2011+ models that would be at 10k not 5k since they use synthetic now

Since it's the first oil change, it can be whenever you want it to be. Personally, I would never wait 10K for an oil and filter change.

OP, are you thinking AIR filter? Every car comes with both AIR and OIL filters. Only the AIR filter is going to do anything to affect your performance. If you meant AIR filter, any will do but Blitz, K&N and F-Sport are all lifetime filters that don't need replacement. Otherwise, you'll see no effect from replacing the air or oil filter with an aftermarket product other than convenience.

Actually, Kurtz, you're wrong for once! The 350's get every 5k and 250's get every 10k for 2011.

Huh... My apologies then. I'd seen the previous thread from a 2011 owner discussing the new 10k change interval due to synthetic and didn't think it'd be different between the 250 and 350...

So is the 2011 350 not coming with synthetic while the 250 is? That'd be odd... but no less odd than if they both came with it but they only changed the OCI for one of the models...

correct! I just called 2 different dealerships and they both said the same thing as above. My salesman told me 10k. So I've been fat dumb and happy so to speak. Now I need to get it done. Luckily, it only has 6.8k miles, so we should be ok. Damn salesman and me for trusting the salesman.

Also, they both said that the oil is a synthetic blend. not full synthetic.
