D o n o t d o i t! Go craigslist. Find movers that will deliver for $20. You won't regret it. Your paying about 40k for a car but can't spend under $50 for delivery. I would even use a couple of shopping carts before I use my IS. Spend $20 today but won't spend hundreds if your leather gets scratched. Just a thought!

Some of us here want to see magic. Take pics. when you manage to fit your 47' tv (boxed) inside your is. Use lots of blankets on leather and plastics. Pics please.

I would never put anything in the back seat that might potentially mess up the seats/headliner. I think you'd be playing with fire. Rent a truck, find a buddy to help but don't use your car.

I fit an un-boxed Weber BBQ grill into the back seat of my 350...upper portion only. Leather held up great...not a single hole/tear/anything! Was hell getting it into the car though with my totally useless GF "helping". LOL!

I still stand by my $20 Home Depot truck rental idea; did it myself with the 50" I got. Worked flawlessly...and since it was such a short distance I didn't even have to fuel it back up!

If I couldn't fit my boxed 46" LED into my GS, I doubt a 47" will fit in a tiny *** IS.

There is no way a TV of that size in a box will fit into an IS. If you don't have a friend with a truck/SUV just get a Zipcar for a day or rent a U-Haul Truck . Don't risk damaging your vehicle and your TV. You could probably fit a 27" Flat Panel in a box in your back seats....

U-Haul: http://www.uhaul.com/Reservations/Eq....aspx?model=BP

You can get a U-Haul truck (F-150) or Cargo van for $19.95... plus $0.79 a mile I believe.
