Default Traction light

Every time when I am stopped on a hill and then let my foot off the brake and on the gas when the car rolls down just a little before taking off the traction light comes even though it's completely dry and I have full traction no slipping. I was wondering if this is normal or should I take it in to the dealer.

Thanks

It's normal. Mine does it too when I'm waiting for my gate to open while on a pitch. Just figure the sensor is a little oversensitive and enjoy the light show.

You have full traction because the traction control kicks in, limiting the power to the wheels to prevent slipping. Try turning off traction control and do the same thing. You'll likely break the tires loose.

It lets you know that HAC (Hill-start Assist Control) is being used. It's to prevent the car from rolling back when you move from brake to gas. It has nothing to do with losing traction.
