Default Does my 2008 IS250 have HID's?

I could have sworn it did but the sewell parts site makes me think that they weren't an option..

http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2008/2411.html

Also, why were auto dimming side mirrors not a standard option?

I believe it depends what package you have. Luxury package would have the auto dimming mirrors if I am correct.

To find out exactly what you have, you could call coprorate and supply your VIN and they can pull out what it is has from the factory.

Few clues if you have HID.
- When you start your car, the lights go down and up (auto leveling).
- You hear like a "spark" like noise when the lights turn on followed by what looks like a bright flash from the lights then begins to go dim as it warms up.
- With car off with lights on, you hear a hum like frequency.
- Go through the menus (where you would adjust the taco, set up tire preasure etc...) and if you see "AFS" on/off.

If any of the above, you have HID.

Yea, they have the active left - right turning option, and they "rise" after I start the car. So I guess they are HID's. What's the kelvin temp of the factory bulbs? 4000k?

Really hating that I didn't get the auto dimming mirrors though. I hate getting blinded by the jackwagons on the freeway who can't bother to aim their headlights properly / people in pickups.

I may have to swap them out for some 5000k HID's. What types of bulbs do we use?

D2S?

Man, I thought my car was pretty well optioned, but I have nothing to adjust tacos!

^ That's my review. I love my 5000K HIDs, they're a great color and come with a year warranty. The price is also great with the discount code listed there. Stock HID replacement bulbs are 3 times more expensive.

Opps lol! I think I typed that wrong. I meant the spedometer and the rpm meter to set when the orange rings goes off.

calvin2376,

Glad you're enjoying your 5000k D4S HID bulbs. If anyone is interested, our D4S HID bulbs are also available in 6000k as well. Make sure to use coupon code "CLGB08" upon checkout to save $20/bulb upon checkout.
