But there are ways to upgrade to the 2011 disk and still be able to enter information on the fly... Check out the "Nav Hack " posts

^ There's also the Prestigious Society nav override module for those not comfortable splicing wires. It unlocks the nav and allows video playback while in motion (for those with Mark Levinson).

Does this mean that all nav updates 11 and onwards will ONLY be done at the dealership???

Depends on the generation of nav you have and if it's the newest one updated via USB and dealer computer connection (yes, for now) or older via DVD (no, you can still update yourself).

^ If you have the HDD-based nav I believe so. You can still order the Nav DVD and self install for early MY 2IS's.

2010 & 2011 are HDD based.
