yeah man, I just did a post about a 10 W7 and let me tell you... Im ready to sell it... It truly hits too hard for me...
I put the bass **** all the way down and it still slams... I also have a ported box so I heard its even louder then sealed...
Does your moonroof rattle on wicked low notes? Mine sounds like it is going to shatter... the clanking is in the front>
Clean Install... Watch those ears.

Do what I did and hook up the amp with the bass **** then pop in each one and do an audition. I was planing on going with 2 10w7 and I am so glad I didn't. I like the deeper bass and not the punchier bass and that's what you get with the 10w7's. But everyone is different and so that's why you gotta here them in your car. As a side note pushing the air through the ski port makes a huge difference.

Oh Face you must have listened to those subs in a sealed box... The box I built was Exactly to JL Spec in the manual.. I Used 1" MDF for the entire project so it resonates the soundwaves better.
That W7 10 in a ported box flexes the car, it is way too loud, and it is SUPER LOW... there really isnt a lot of punch in a ported box, too bad your in Cali- I would love to hear your setup and show you how low this thing rumbles... you would be surprised it really is sick.
Oh yeah, on low notes... 3 or 4 notes and the rearview is pointed down... Its really disappointing... I dont see how its possible to NOT have rattling... My whole car looks like it is breathing when my JL 10 is hitting. I have FULLY dynamatted the two front doors. and I have plans on doing the trunk next spring.
If your sub is hitting half as hard as mine, IMO it would be physically impossible not to have rattles.
