Default GFX rear lip- Help

Hi,
Would appreciate fellow CL members knowledge regarding GFX rear lip installation. Is a DIY project or take to a professional? How much does it normally cost to have this done? Please help.

yea i was thinking of doing the same thing to my is... pretty sure you can do it yourself if you ordered from sewell then you can download the pdf file that shows you the instructions. otherwise you could always get REALLY strong double sided tape lol

remove the brackets. Add extra double sided tape if necessary. wash and clay the areas that the lip will fit onto. Wipe off area with rubbing alcohol and let it dry. Spray adhesion promoter to the area and let it dry to a tacky feeling. Apply the lip. Done.

3M Double Sided Tape is all you need. Only $3-5 bucks for a roll of it.

I did 3M no cut method on my '09. Rear bumper hasn't changed from '09 to present. Very easy to do.

Try and see if you could use 3m tape. If not, then get it professional put on. Thats what I did when 3m tape didn't work out

Why didn't it work out for you? I'm planning to just use tape.

My installer said he plans to use use screws and 3M tape and he's done it before with no problems.

I wanted to buy the rear lip but my color, SGM, is discontinued on Sewell.
