i have a smartstart, no one in the bay area want to do it for me. they all wanted around $400-500 to install. Anyways if you guys are around the Bay Area PM me if you want a shop that does it for cheap.

Yeah I paid around $500 including start module, tilt sensor and glass break sensor. I have the viper 5901 and I have no complains. For the Accord we need to get an extra module because we have the immobilizer inside the key. So we need a box thing that holds 1 spare key to "trick" the computer and start the car. Besides the price I freaking love it and gives me a peace of mind. Totally worth in IMO. Here in florida I use it to leave the AC running and cool down the car before I get in (specially in my black accord)

Dealer Installed Remote Start
I just had a remote start installed in my new 2015 Lexus ES300H.
The cost from the dealer was around $500.
They used a Flashlogic 1 way RF Upgrade kit - FLRF1.
This remote comes with two separate, small fobs.
You can use either the original fob to remote start, or the new, small fob.
The advantage of the small fob is the extended range! It takes two quick presses to start and a 3 second hold to stop.
The car will shut down as soon as a door is opened.
If you leave the heat/cool settings where you want, when you exit, they will activate with the remote start (except for the heated steering wheel!)
I have triggered it reliably from the 2nd story of a building, standing by the elevator. I think the range is well over 1000'. This is handy if you are at a mall and it's freezing outside. You can start the car when you start to leave, even though the car is 5 minutes away!
It took the dealership about three hours to install and explain it to me.
