439 miles to the tank!
Just clocked this (and not all highway either) on my current tank of gas. The car spent several days at the dealer (who likes to leave cars idling / take them for joy rides as I've seen my tank average drop 3.0 mile/gal after a stay), and has had about 10-20% city driving. The strange thing, my avg mi/gal for this tank says 32.0, but 439/17=25.82?

The spec sheets state that all the 2nd gen IS250's came with a 17.1 gal tank
I guess I'll get back with the final algebra when I stop to fill her up on the way home this afternoon.

i hate you guys and your good gas mileage -.-
and ya he is right, it is only calculating 439/14.5=30.27 and its only approximate. if you were to drive another 45 miles(safely) then fill up. then youll see exactly how much gas you used and how far you went. ive gotten over 30mpg 3 times when i had my 350 actual with a calculator. but that was with cruise set at 70 in socal your holding up traffic with 70 lol

I'm not sure on this, it might be in the manual, but is there a limit to when the Tank Average or Miles Remaining resets? Maybe they topped you off with 2 gallons before they gave it back? maybe 2 gallons isn't enough to reset everything?
just guessing here, because I've never put less than ~10 gallons in at a time.
I wouldn't think 439 is too extraordinary though...the best I've gotten on my 350 is ~410

That's stupid. I want to know how long I have until my car is stalled on the side of the road. They already put in an idiot light to tell you to fill up the car at the next convenience.

I got 440-450miles once on a round trip Houston to Corpus once. It was cold out, and i babied the hell out of it just to see how good the gas mileage could get. Made it from the gas station at my neighborhood to Corpus and all the way back to my gas station and the Range Approx hit 0. Great timing

Best i ever got was on a road trip up and down Cali. Got 485 miles on a tank with 17 miles left. I really wanted to make it go to 500 miles so i could take a picture but didn't wanna risk running low on gas through the grapevine lol. I try to never run the car past 0, I believe someone on here explained before that its not good for the fuel pump at all (overheating) when you get down to having only a little amount of gas left.
Right now im commuting to work everyday, mostly highway and averaging 30-33 tank MPG. Freicken love this car! Looks good and gets awesome gas mileage Average MPG is at 29.0 right now, i think the last time i reset it was about 17k miles ago too!
