This goes over the stock lip. To replace the stock lip would meaning replacing the entire front bumper as far as I know, and no company makes a lip to completely replace the stock one. (If i'm wrong here someone correct me, but I haven't seen any substitute for stock lip besides fitting over it, unless you do the 2011 bumper conversion)

Thanks again guys! Still lovin it every time I look at er!

^ fabulous is a direct replacement of the OEM lip.

Question for ya, what do u mean by "rounding the edges" to make them match the body lines.. where did the lip stick out?

Fabulous, GFX and Vertex are all direct replacements. You just remove the OEM (non-GFX) lip and install using the same mounting points/clips. I think you may have incorrectly assumed the "stock lip" and the front bumper cover are one piece.

The lip itself has a very hard sharp edge when it rolls over to the backside because it's not metal, by slighty rounding the edges it gave it a softer edge, matching the metal body work edges from the factory.

So it's safe to say you didn't remove the stock lip... Good to know.

Lol, ya both thread could cause some confusion. But yes didn't remove the stock lip. There are two self tapping screws in each wheel well. It's pretty easy to put on, I just let my body shop handle the whole thing so it fit and looked perfect.

Looks awesome man! I want one myself now only reason I haven't is because imo body kits are not as noticeable on black cars

Thanks! As far as black not being as noticeable that can be true, however my favorite part about that is it really helps make the kits blend. Yes, you want it to be noticed, but you don't want it to be overly obvious that you put fiberglass or plastic pieces on your Lexus IMO .

^ That is a good point, never thought of it

Rep is usually made of fiberglass or plastic, right? And authentic is polyurethrane? What is the difference in material among them . . is poly just more durable, etc?

Rep's usually use Polyurethane, like you said more durable, damn near indestructible actually, you won't be able to crack it unless you really try. Authentic can be polyurethane but most are made out of fiberglass because it is easier to treat to paint, and can be easier to mold to a car as well
