Do you have a picture of that? That sounds like it looks really good.

Also, if I have stock 4300k HIDs can I just switch the bulbs to 8000k so they're super bright white or do I need a whole new kit with ballasits and everything?

Yup, all you need are new 8000k D4S bulbs. Garax makes some good ones and my friend is switching his 4300k to 8000k as well and going with Garax.

8000K is would appear bright with blue in it. As you maybe aware, as you do go up the Kelvin, the less usable light output which would be able to help you see on the road. 6000K would be the balance between color (white) and usuable output.

So you're saying 6000k would be the brightest and whitest correct?

5000k is the whitest. 6000k I had when I first bought my HIDs but I started to dislike the slightest shade of blue in it so I got 5000k instead which is pure white. Any temperature between stock, 4300k to 5000k is the brightest.

Yes I would say so. Best to try different brand lights and to see for youself before hand.

As I replied to Cgiurgiu, it really depends on the brand because XXXXK does not imply Z color of different brands.

For instance, one CL member wanted to try the Philips Ultinon 5000K because he wanted a bright look still wanted to remain a like white look, but turned out have hint of yellow in it to his disappointment. On the other hand, I have Philips Ultinon 6000K and it is like pure white with no hint of any colors in it. I have seen other brands of 6000K with a hint of color in them.

That is true but with my experience, 5000k is suppose to be the whitest. Whenever I bought eBay bulbs in 5000k, they end up being bluish. However, the other 5000k bulbs I've purchased from places like Mod-Express are a pure white, like how they are suppose to be at 5000k. 6000k is suppose to have the slightest hint of blue in it and that's what I noticed with my previous HIDeXtra kit and my friend's Volt kit. The stock 4300k is white but with a bit of yellow still, 5000k is pure white, and 6000k has just a very little blue. That's how they are suppose to be, no idea why different manufacturers don't have them at the right temps. Your experience with Philips makes the whitest at 6000k but I've seen many with blue at 6000k.

alright so i installed the 5000k bulbs into my fog lights and they look amazing. In fact, they actually completely overpower my other ones and now i want to change the regular headlights as well. I know in the previous posts it says that they are 4300k stock and may or may not be HID. I want to purchase the right ones so i took a few pictures to reference. Can someone please tell me whether i need to ballasts too or just the bulbs? the connection looks a little weird compared to the other ones i have seen. Thanks guys.

^ Thats a regular HID connection, which is why it looks different from Halogen connections. You just need the bulbs. I upgraded my stock 4300k HID bulbs to 5000k HIDs. Got them from Xenon depot for $100 with coupon. However, be warned of their sloooooow shipping. Look here:
