My driver side door makes a single, not too loud, "sqeak" when the door is swung open. It only makes that sound at the maximum open angle (i.e. when the door hinge stops the door from opening further). It's annoying and was wondering if I can get rid of it...with WD40? Anyone with similar issue?

i have i have tried everything and it it from being a loud squeak to to being a little bit lower but still squeaks

Probably needs some grease. If it's under warranty, the dealership would probably just regrease it for you on the spot.

I noticed a couple of traces (lines) of "grease" on the door trim that is at the same height as the lower hinge. I have a hunch these traces were left by the dealer when they were greasing it before they delivered the car to me because for a while I didn't notice the squeak then it started to make a noise.

Buy some spray grease.....problem resolved.
