^^^ Wasn't this a thread about the iPhone? I guess being an iPhone hater is as common as owning an Android, right? This problem showed up with the rollout of IOS5, prior to that everything worked great. Per Apex3's post I guess this problem affects Androids as well, so iPhones are not alone. Do you make and receive international calls? Do you have country codes as part of your contacts' phone numbers? If not then your comments are useless.

u do realize international calling/receiving is based off carrier plans? but if u think that makes u feel more elite then more power to u. of course now theres apps for that
and my first comment was in good humor but obviously u took offense and use term "downgrading"
fyi... crackberries was the choice when it comes to international calls way before iphone/droids were in the game.
always liked ur photoshop 2dr coupe *tumbsup*

International calls have nothing to do with a carrier plan, just have a "+" sign plus the country code before the phone number and you're all set. This is useful not only for people making and receiving international phone calls, but for people traveling overseas as the phone will call the contact correctly without you having to know the international prefix for the country you're at (not all countries use 011 to access international calls like the US). Pre-IOS5 iPhones used to pass the complete string through bluetooth so the caller matched the contact on the head unit, that's why the car displayed the name correctly. Now IOS5 strips the country code through bluetooth so there is no match, and as a result we see only the 10-digit number.
BTW, this applies not only to Blackberries or Androids or iPhones, but to any phone in the world, even land lines way before the cell phones were a standard.
About my signature, that photoshop is how the Coupe ISF should look.
PS: the "downgrade" comment was in good humor as well.
