Color Matching Fogs

Color Matching Fogs
Word of advice: Don't waste your time trying to color match your fogs to your lowbeams if you are the least bit OCD or a lighting wh0*e.
I went through a total of six sets and was never satisfied with the results.
IMHO, I think the best bet would be going with a nice set of low beams like Garax & MTEC, or the most expensive Philips Ultinons.
As for fog-lights, I decided to go with yellow because it is classic Lexus, has the best light output, and best visibility for rainy conditions.
This is just my opinion, but I hope it helps those of you who have been through some of the same hassles or are in a tossup between color matching and going yellow.
I ordered my PUTCO Jet Yellow bulbs on Saturday, so I'll post up some pics when they arrive

I got mine dialed first try with DDM's? 8000k H11 and 9006 were literally identical.
Mind you, all have been replaced at different times so they're not quite the same anymore. New bulbs at the same time does help a lot along with viewing angle. The projector housings will skew the colour ever so slightly at different angles.

i got garax 6000k volt 6000k and they are perfect LOL. like others stated, if you stand right infront it wont match since projectors focus the ground and your fogs spreads everywhere. But from a distance my setup matchings pretty spot on.

As I had mentioned here and some other threads, XXXXK Kelvin does not equal Z color if using different brands. Only if you're using the same brand, they would match.
For me, I'm currently in the process of getting for lights converted to HID for my 11 IS and it will be using the Philips 6000K conversion kit. It will perfectly match the Philips Ultinon 6000K D4S bulbs which I have standing buy new in box ready to install, once I recieve my conversion for kit from Nigel-JDMParts (forum vendor).

Probably be my next set of bulbs when my Garax dies out.

I was running the same brand "MTEC" in both my low beams and fogs for about two weeks. The color was pretty close, but off a little bit since I installed them at different times. I guess the trick is to do everything at the exact same time.
The 6000k Philips look pretty darn good Sango, but I could never spend $300+ on bulbs. Congrats on the new ride and some super bright lights.
