the insurance said they're gonna see if this is fixable, but I think it's total especially when I cannot put it into Park and more.

the messed up part was that the other car ONLY has scratches on the rear bumper and the exhaust was pushed in!

Sorry man, that sucks! I take it you're alright? Did the airbags deploy? If so, I'd guess it's totaled. If not, might be repairable. In either case, hope insurance takes care of you.

Side note: I was a little confused when I first read this. I read it like you walked out and witnessed this or something. Not that it actually happened to you. Took me a few times re-reading your post to figure it out.

no the airbag didn't deploy! kinda weird since my front end got smashed, I wore my seat belt and the impact was so bed that it broke the seat belt, thing wont go back in anymore. and the clip that suppose to keep it from going back in to far got ripped off

You think so? I think they would declare it total since the front end is f'ed on top of that the tranny is f'ed too since it can't go back in Park even though the shifter is on park. not to mention i had some damage to the back also.

Airbag didn't deploy because it was the hood that was absorbing impact, not the bumper. The sensor is behind the bumper. So it takes some certain degree of deformation of the bumper for the airbag switch to be activated.

the other just car has scratch on the bumper becuase you hit him with your soft part, the hood but his part is bumper which is very hard.

Is your car lowered?

Dude!!!! Sorry to see/hear!!!! Glad you were ok! Was traffic stopped or rolling....were you preoccupied? I could fix that. Fenders, hood, lights, grille, grille surround, bumper, radiator support. Not sure on the transmission though. Hope all goes well! Maybe a 2011 front end upgrade

So, someone in a Ford Taurus hit you from behind and you hit the car in front of you-as the photo suggested; or you just rear ended some Ford Taurus?
