Hi everyone,

I'm thinking to get some 19" wheels and lower my car. Which one would make more sense to do first?

Also, would the car look weird if I just lower it, and then get some side skirt kits on? I drive my car daily and don't really want to worry about scraping the front..or should I just get the whole kit without the lower spring ..what would be my best approach?

Thanks!

my thoughts, its better to be lowered on stock wheels, than to have rims without a drop. (wheel gap)

yep yep, drop first then rims... if you put rims on without a drop you'll look like those maxima/altima guys and no one wants to see that

I'm definitely dropping my car before rims. I just hate the damn wheel gap, I thought my old Bimmer had a huge gap but the 2IS has it beat. Not to thread jack, but is worth getting spacers for stock rims after a drop if you have the crappy AWD 17s?

I went backwards and did rims before lowering. You can decide from these pics weather or not you want to do that

After:

If you are worried about the dropping and scrapping the stock lips, do the F-Sport lowering springs... it will only be an inch and you will still look good with less chance of scrapping

Thanks! I am dropping it first then!

Nonetheless, car looks GREAT GiantsFan I love it!

Which body kit would you guys recommend for a modest aggressive look without scraping? Would car look weird if I only get a partial body kit (say, front and side only, etc)?

Thanks!

What would it look like if I just get rims and body kit? Wouldn't the kits make it seem lower? o_o

Always lower first, always. A person might lower their car but never go aftermarket wheels, whereas going aftermarket wheels and not lowering.... just looks bad.

Ohhhh I wasn't yelling. Just a sense of urgency in a comical way.

I suggest after you lower that you get the OEM GFX lip kit. Try looking at Sewell Lexus and register as a CL member. You'll get a discount. You can also try Lex Tuners, as they both are vendors on this forum.

The wheels will draw more attention to the huge wheel gap. Drop first.

The rest of the car will seem lower but the fender gap will be nasty.
