You can go IS 250 AWD or IS 350. Both are good cars. What about GS 350? I used to have Honda Accord 4drs and now I'm driving GS 350 AWD.

So, are you done driving manual stick?

My friend has a Si sedan which I'm constantly driving. Whenever I get back into my IS it feels so boring but at the end of the day its an IS. It's super smooth, it saves gas, and it doesn't grab ricers attention.

If you're ready to let the car go then go for it. Try test driving the 350 before buying a 250 though.

No. Bone stock the quickest 0 to 60 times achieved by owners are 4.7 to 4.9.

4.9 bone stock has been verified independently (most notably by Road and Track). Car and Driver cited 0 to 60 in 5.1

4.5 to 4.7 has been achieved only with modifications (intake/headers/exhaust).

with cooler temperature 4.4 to 4.6 (intake, headers/full exhaust) average 4.5 at least.

wow these times are getting faster n faster

with a slight down grade, tailwind, fold in the dumbo ears, tape up 50% of the grills, put on 15" rims with low pro tires to improve the rear gear ratio and we'll be in the 3's soon

lemme tell you about this fish that got away~

i just have my is250 awd 2 weeks ago after considering the is350.but couldnt resist the deal of a lifetime.08 is250 awd with nav package, 9200 miles got it for $30k and 3yrs or 100k miles warranty.but couldnt find an is350 with less than 30k miles with $30k price range in 50 miles range where i live.so i opt with the is250.comming from an evo x with 330whp and 315 wtq with all bolt ons and tune is a big step down when it comes to power and cornering.same mpg(18-22city for me).the only reason i sold my evo last june was i couldnt stop looking for more power and im really a jdm *****.but i like the is its quiet interior smooth driving and best thing is as of now no body trying to race me or rev me.not like the evo everybody with honda ,240's trying to race me all the time.theres a lot of ricers where i live.sometimes i tell them when theyre trying to rev me with my evo"get into me level, then i might get tempted to smoke you" not that they have slow car but you know who you can beat or not.now with the is250 i dont really care about how fast you go,coz ive been there done that.its more of a luxury feel now. after my warranty is due in 3 years then isf or maybe m3 just depends on the budget.

I went from my 07 SI sedan to my 06 IS250 6 Speed. The SI did feel faster when you ran the revs up, but how often do you really do that? I really enjoy the fact that my IS has some torque. I can be in 6th gear at 40 mph and accelerate without downshifting. No way I could have done that with the SI. As for the ride and the comfort, there is no comparison. I liked the sporty feel of the SI, but lets face it, it's still a Civic. Road noise, wind noise and suspension thump on expansion joints were greatly reduced when I stepped up to the IS. The only thing I really missed when I switched to the SI were the sweet sounds from Vtec and the exhaust on the SI. The IS was silent by comparison. No intake or exhaust sound from inside the car. I modded my factory air box for increased sound (cut a hole similar to the F Sport Intake) and removed the resonator from the exhaust which helped give it some sound. I have never driven an automatic IS250 so I can't compare it to the SI.

As for the comparison to the IS350, I bought my car as a commuter for a 160 mile per day round trip. Most of my driving (95%) is on the interstate with the cruise set at 75, so I didn't need 304 hp and I hate automatic transmissions. If I was mostly in town I might have gone a different route, but the 250 was considerably cheaper than the 350 when I was looking. By the way, I am 42 years old, have owned lots of cars over the years and I see me being in the Lexus family for a long time to come. Very happy with my car and it is 6 years old and has 109,000 miles on it.

I've had a 2007 Si and a 2008 Si. Both modded. Both fun cars, yet the tranny's feel like crap compares to the S2000 tranny.

The Si does feel a bit bigger inside than the IS at times. However in other ways the IS is a bigger car....if that makes sense.

Speed wise, the Si was lighter, higher reving, and a bit quicker.

The IS250 feels a bit faster from the torque of the V6, yet it is a bit heavier.

I wanted a nice auto car that was sporty so I went with the IS. My Si's had a totaly different purpose!

DO it, you will be glad you did. I had an 06 Civic EX myself, and I loved it, I still miss that car. I test drove a few IS's, 2 250's (AWD and not) and one 350. I loved them, but my wife convinced me that we needed a truck (and we do), so I ended up with something different entirely. LOL . Cant say I regret it, but I will be back in a Lexus, shortly I hope.
