Clarification- when you shift to S mode it goes to S-4. Which means a MAX of 4th gear.

At highway speeds S-4 means you'll be in 4th gear.

But put it in S going 5 mph and while it'll say 4 in the little display to the left of the gears, it won't actually be in 4th gear.

I love my IS350 anyway. Like the other person said. Take the good and bad together.
