The silver cover really isn't "blinging" but gives a nice contrast compared to the black one.

The Black and Silver shields are completely different size. And wont fit if you try to switch I believe the later IS250 comes with a silver shield and they try to put it on my 350 but didn't fit When I purchased my vehicle the first thing I did was look at the engine and I totally notice there was no engine cover. Now I have had the car for 2 months and the dealer finally mail me one free of charge

hence Why I was bored on Holloween =0)

to answer all querys lol

All IS350s are silver, and all IS250's are black.

You are right though, they are not interchangeable.
