It's a way to ruin your underbody of the car!! haha j/k!
I remember a few years ago, some person who had a very low car, drove fast onto a parking ramp, just to to hear a loud kink noise then see sparks comming out from the back on impact lol!! I'm sure that damaged something for going that fast and banging it. Most likely slower speed would of been ok, but I think that person was just showing off when that person decided to gun it to go on the ramp fast.

In my opinion, it's like 90% looks, 10% gangster.
While a good set of coils may make the car feel more responsive, most of us are too low and flush to take corners fast since it would destroy our fenders. I know that a single day on the track obliterated my fenders while lowered. Expensive lesson.
